Connect Talvin to Claude
The Talvin connector lets you ask Claude about your hiring in plain language. For example:
- “Who are the strongest candidates for the Sales Associate role?”
- “Why did the last candidate get Hold, and what should I ask in the next round?”
- “Which candidates for the Customer Support role mentioned Zendesk?”
Claude looks up your interviews, candidate reports and transcripts in Talvin and answers in the chat, with a link to each candidate’s report.
The connector is read-only. Claude can’t create or edit interviews, change a candidate’s status, or delete anything.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You’ll need:
- A Talvin account that belongs to your organization. You sign in with the same email and password, or Google account, that you use for Talvin.
- A Claude account at claude.ai, or the Claude desktop or mobile app.
Claude sees all of your organization’s interviews and candidates, the same results your team sees in Talvin.
Connect from Claude
Section titled “Connect from Claude”- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors (claude.ai/customize/connectors).
- Find Talvin in the connector directory and click Connect.
- Sign in to Talvin, then click Allow to let Claude read your Talvin data.
- You’re back in Claude, and Talvin shows as connected. Start a new chat and ask about your interviews.
Add Talvin by URL
Section titled “Add Talvin by URL”If you can’t find Talvin in the directory, add it as a custom connector instead:
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, and click Add custom connector.
- Enter the name Talvin and the URL
https://app.talvin.ai/api/mcp, then click Add. - Leave Sign in now and Use Claude’s published identity selected, then click Connect.
- Sign in to Talvin and click Allow.
Talvin admins can also find the URL in Talvin: click Settings, open the Platforms tab and click Connect on the Claude card.
Claude Team and Enterprise
Section titled “Claude Team and Enterprise”On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds Talvin once for the whole organization in Organization settings, Connectors. Each person then connects and signs in to Talvin with their own account.
Claude Code
Section titled “Claude Code”Run this in a terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http talvin https://app.talvin.ai/api/mcpThen type /mcp in Claude Code, choose talvin and sign in to Talvin in the browser window that opens.
What Claude can look up
Section titled “What Claude can look up”| Tool | What it does |

| List interviews | Your organization’s interviews (one per role), newest first, with how many candidates have completed each. Open interviews only, unless you ask for closed ones too. |
| List candidates | Candidates who completed one interview, newest first, with their recommendation, overall %, status and report link. Claude can filter by name, recommendation or a minimum overall %. |
| Get candidate report | One candidate’s full report: recommendation and overall %, summary, job-criteria match, custom criteria, every question with its score and why, strengths, improvement areas and what to ask in the next round. |
| Search interview transcripts | Where candidates on one interview said a word or phrase, such as a tool, skill or past employer. It searches the candidate’s side of the 300 most recent transcripts and returns short snippets. |
Candidates scored from 20 October 2026 have a recommendation (Strong advance, Advance, Hold or Not advance) and an overall percentage. Candidates scored before then have a score out of 100 and no recommendation. For more on scores, see How scoring works.
Claude doesn’t receive candidates’ email addresses or phone numbers. It sees names, scores, report content and transcript snippets.
Disconnect Talvin
Section titled “Disconnect Talvin”In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors, click Talvin and choose Disconnect. Claude can no longer read your Talvin data until you connect again.
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”“The Talvin MCP server is not enabled for this organization yet.” The connector isn’t switched on for your organization. Email hello@talvin.ai and we’ll turn it on.
“Your Talvin account is not part of an organization.” You signed in with an account that isn’t in a Talvin organization. Disconnect, then connect again and sign in with your work account.
“Your Talvin sign-in has expired.” Disconnect Talvin in Claude and connect again.
